Thursday, September 16, 2004 The defense rests Has CBS done anyone a favor with their fraudulent attack on Bush with forged documents? Yes and no. I'm thinking that in the future any news story featuring documentary evidence as proof can automatically be attacked with charges of fraud and forgery. Remember all those Mike Wallace chase-'em-down-the-street with a fistfull of papers in his hand out to nail some scam artist on 60 Minutes? Didn't we love all those moments when Mike would shout, "Mr. Scamman, how do you explain these invoices!?" Now, all Mr. Scamman has to do is cooly turn and say, "You did these on MS Word, didn't you?
