Monday, February 16, 2004 The wages of sin is death (or disease) The Wall Street Journal has an editorial about attacks by autism interested groups on vaccines for children. The hysteria they generate against drug makers is terrifying in the original sense since they encourage parents not to protect their children from horrible diseases and their effects. The sin in this case is emotionalism over reason, science, facts, and perspective. Greed is involved, too, since lawyers are on the case. Lawyers are driving drug companies out of the vaccine business because of their suits. Can you imagine anything more evil than a group of people insuring the suffering of countless children because a mere two or three had bad outcomes from vaccination?
