Attaboy

O'Reilly interviews the President and his ratings double. O'Reilly did not toss softballs although he was definitely respectful. He nailed Bush on several issues like immigration and border crossing, but even so, Bush came off well over all. There was no "gotcha" and belaboring an agenda.

Imagine how Jennings and Brokaw must feel? (Forget Rather. He's a dead dog.) Someone, somewhere in those businesses must be saying, "What do we have to do to get the president to talk to us? What do we do to improve our status?"

The answer is simple, of course. Be fair. Go ahead and be tough, but be fair and respectful of conservatives. Then you might get some ratings and make more money.

But they just can't do it, can they?
